Surgery

We are proud to offer laser surgery as a progressive new option for our clients who want the safest, least painful treatment for their pets.

The benefits to laser surgery include

  • Less pain
  • Less bleeding
  • Less swelling
  • Extreme precision
  • Reduced risk of infection
  • Faster recovery

We can use the laser on a number of surgical procedures. All of our declaw procedures and canine neuters are performed using the laser.

Our surgery protocol includes pre-anesthetic bloodwork. The type of bloodwork varies based on the age and health of the patient. Older or compromised patients require more extensive bloodwork.

Pre-Anesthetic bloodwork is important to ensure your pet is healthy and can undergo anesthesia. If your pet is unhealthy, complications can occur both during and after the anesthetic procedure.

Bloodwork will allow us to know the health status of your pet, if the results are not within normal ranges, we may alter the anesthetic protocol or in some cases postpone surgery.

All of our surgeries include post operative pain management. The comfort and well-being of your animal is our main priority, therefore, we also offer more extensive pain management options. As in human medicine, we have a variety of medications available to manage your pet’s pain both before and after surgery and in the event of trauma.

Some of our routine surgeries include

  • Spays
  • Neuters
  • Dental cleanings including/excluding extractions
  • Limited orthopedics
  • Lump removals
